I am Naylen Turner, an elite level 15yr old Baseball Player, based in Morristown, TN. I have been competing in Baseball since I was 3 years old. Over the past 10 years, I have competed in Atlanta GA, Morristown-Sevierville-Jefferson County-Gatlinburg-Knoxville-Tri-Cities-Nashville-Chattanooga TN and surrounding areas, Tifton GA, in A-AA-AAA, USSSA tournaments, Net Elite tournaments, Showcases, and High- school baseball.
My long-term athletic dream is to play for the Boston Red Sox. In the short term, however, I hope to compete at the college and minor league level.
Between my studies in highschool, a part-time job, and being a full-time athlete, I am always on the move. Your contribution would allow me to focus more of my time on training, allowing me to reach my athletic goals.
Dreams are what make life worth living, and everybody should have them. Dreams provide us with hope and direction; they can motivate us to higher achievement, teach us to work hard, and avoid people and activities that are bad for us. Dreaming, in my opinion, is a very, very good thing.
The dream of playing baseball in college and then signing a professional contract is one that I know extremely well. I have been dreaming for years, now that I see it is possible, I am training harder and pushing myself to reach that goal. Will it be easy? No. But I am committed to my dream and surrounding myself with positive forces, thanking God for my talent to make it. God didn’t make us all to be Major League baseball players.
At Baseball/Life, the goal is to help navigate a path that leads you to your big league, whatever that may be. I want to inspire you to chase your baseball dreams, earn the best grades possible, and find the right academic and athletic fit that pays dividends not only for the four years you are in college, but for a lifetime.
My journey of being a baseball player has taught me so much about myself, such as my strengths and weaknesses, and how hard I can push myself physically and mentally. I have been to many competitions, where I have learned so much more about my sport. To become a world-class athlete I have to push my limits and develop incredible self-discipline. The thing is, I want more, I know I can do more. I am ready to push my limits even further as I know that I can work my way to MLB.
My goal for this season is to prepare myself to compete at the next level of competition. Through this campaign I hope to raise enough funds to be able to train and compete at the level necessary to make it all possible by attending show cases, camps, college visits, travel baseball and high school baseball.
A lot of people don't realize how expensive training and competing really is. Over a season an athlete in this sport can spend anywhere from $800.00 up to $10,000.00 easily for training, show cases, team fees and competition. So as the math shows, each season as an athlete you dive deeper into a pool of debt. Any amount of support is greatly appreciative.
With money raised through MAKEACHAMP, I will be able to train and compete free of the worry and stress that finances play.
As an Elite Level Baseball Player, training is really hard. Attending training camps, show cases etc. is needed as often as possible to maximize my skills and reach my goal of playing at the next level. I am also responsible for travel and accommodation, competition entry fees, facility fees and equipment, amongst other things. Your contributions will allow for my season to be possible.
I've been on the edge of success for the past years, and this is finally my year to break through. Support for my campaign is exactly what I need to make my goals a reality. Drive has never been an issue for me, financial backing has always been the ball and chain in my career holding me back.

Personal Statement
I have the desire to play baseball at the next level. It all started out in wee-ball at the age of three. From there I moved up yearly to league after league. I have played baseball since the age of six. I was chosen for All-Stars four years during league baseball. I was placed in competitive baseball at an early age of nine. Over the years the insights on what it takes to play at a competitive level has helped me develop my athletic ability. I would be a great asset to any team because I am a good team member and accept criticism as a great learning opportunity. I have a strong work ethic and my character is that I will always respect my coaches and teammates. I believe there is always another athlete working harder than me and I won't let that happen. I have taken pride in the fact that I am very coachable and will do what it takes to help my team. I have played second base, short stop and can throw strikes. My strongest position is middle infield. I can also play outfield if needed. I have been recognized as one of the top prospects in Tennessee by Best in South East National Showcase.
